HA NOI — Vietnamese salted duck eggs are popular with consumers in ASEAN countries. Singapore recently ordered 100 containers of the eggs, paying US$33 for a packet of 160 from processors in southern Vinh Long and Can Tho provinces.
The eggs are also popular in Hong Kong, and Cambodia orders 50 million eggs a year. Domestic food processing factories use about 20 per cent of domestic production for moon cakes.
