It is supprising for me today that I got the new ideas from our people in the country after I have made some calls to greet and wish some relatives and friends in our motherland on this auspecious occassion of Bon Pjum Ben.
One of my friends who I have never called for more than a year said that during the Bon Pjum Ben this year he has gone to many pagodas and even prepared aboundant of food to offer to monks and the ancestors as well as others Prets. He told me that this year he had some special wishes that he wished to be granted if his goodness would be blessed by Devada, i.e., besides the pray for and dedication to his ancestors, he also prayed for the Prets -the dead Prets in hell and the living Prets who are still iving in Cambodia today. He said he begged the Yum Reach to release the Prets in hell and allow them to be reborned and yet bring back the living Prets to hell for punishment. He added that the living Prets have suffered our country and people so much for decades already and the Yum Reach must bring them back as soon as possible to end the suffering of our country and people and they must be punished for their committed crimes. He even mentioned their names to me and how sinfull they are as a living Pret.
