A core leader of the anti-Thaksin People’s Alliance for Democracy (PAD), Maj Gen Chamlong Srimuang, on Friday afternoon condemned Cambodian prime minister Hun Sen for interference in internal affair of Thailand and an infringement of Thailand’s justice system.
Maj Gen Chamlong also called on the international community to condemn the Cambodian government to pressure it to extradite ousted ex-premier Thaksin Shinawatra to Thailand.
At a press conference, also joined by another PAD key leader Somkiat Pongpaiboon and coordinator Suriyasai Katasila, Maj Gen Chamlong also condemned Thaksin for committing an act of betrayal to the country by using the neighbouring country to pressure the Thai government for Political gain.
The Cambodian government on Wednesday announced an appointment of Thaksin as its economic advisor and personal advisor to Hun Sen. Cambodian government also insisted in a statement that it would not extradite the former prime minister to Thailand as all charges against him were politically motivated.
