The Puea Thai Party should not play political games by taking the country as a hostage and must stop dividing people in the country, Democrat Party executive Satit Pitutacha said on Sunday.
Mr Satit also called on the opposition party to stop criticising the government using false information.
"If the Puea Thai Party follow these calls, it can be a big and prominent party," he said.
Democrat spokesman Thepthai Senpong said he believed the Puea Thai MPs, who will travel to Phnom Penh to meet convicted Thai spy Sivarak Chutipong, were just presenting themselves to fugitive former prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra.
