Vietnam will do its utmost to promote its traditional friendship and comprehensive cooperation with Cambodia, Party leader Nong Duc Manh told King Norodom Sihamoni during their talks in Phnom Penh on December 17.He said he was happy to return to Cambodia and meet with King Sihamony who has succeeded his father, Norodom Sihanouk, in reigning in the royal nation, and made a great contribution to maintaining and developing the Vietnam-Cambodia relationship.
He praised Cambodia’s recent important achievements, and expressed the hope that under the reign of the King and the clear-sighted leadership of the Senate, the National Assembly and the Royal government, the Cambodian people would make greater achievements in national development to build Cambodia into a peaceful, independent, neutral, non-aligned and prosperous nation.
He thanked the Cambodian people for their support for Vietnam in the past and at present, especially in creating favourable conditions for Vietnamese nationals to live, study and work in the country.
