Cambodia's Foreign Reserve in 2009 over 2.6 Bln USD

Cambodia's foreign reserve capital in 2009 was more than 2,600 million U.S. dollars, an increase of 25.2 percent as compared to 2008, official news agency AKP reported on Tuesday, citing the figure from the National Bank of Cambodia (NBC).
NBC Governor Chea Chanto announced the figure at the annual conference which reviews all achievements gained by the NBC in 2009 and set its objectives for 2010.
Chea Chanto said that in 2009, Cambodia's total assets were up 20.52 percent, bank deposits up 32.67 percent, bank depositors up 38.36 percent and private sector credits up 3.18 percent, compared respectively to those in 2008.
