The following is a transcript from Liveblog of Duch verdict pronouncement:
  • 11:14 Duch has been found guilty of violations of the crimes against humanity of persecution on political grounds, extermination, enslavement, torture, one instance of rape, and other inhuman acts. I may have missed one.
  • 11:15 Also guilty of grave breaches of the geneva conventions, including wilful killing, torture, willfully causing great suffering and injury, depriving civilians and prisoners of war of the right to a fair trial, and unlawful confinement of civilians. There was no finding of guilt for domestic crimes of pre-meditated murder and torture.
