PHNOM PENH - A U.N.-backed international tribunal is set to deliver next week its first verdict on the "Killing Fields" regime of Cambodia in the late 1970s.

The tribunal, set up to try former Khmer Rouge leaders and officially named the Extraordinary Chambers in the Courts of Cambodia, will announce on July 26 a verdict on Kaing Guek Euv, alias Duch, the head of a key torture center in Phnom Penh.
