Cambodia's Prime Minister Hun Sen has apologised for a stampede at the water festival in Phnom Penh that killed at least 378 people.

Cambodia has planned a national day of mourning after the deadly crowd stampede.

On the bridge where the stampede happened police are gathering evidence among the discarded shoes and clothing left behind by those killed and injured.

The bridge leads to an island where revellers where heading for shopping and concerts on the last night of the famous annual water festival.
