Phnom Penh – Sor Sovan, Khieu Samphan’s defense lawyer, declared that Khieu Samphan is the only KR leader charged who agreed to sit (in the dock) and cooperate with the KR leaders’ hearing during the 4 days.
He added: “My client wants to cooperate to seek the truth about who else (is responsible) for the Democratic Kampuchea regime?”
The other 3 former KR leaders, Nuon Chea, Ieng Sary and Ieng Thirith all left the hearing claiming health problem.
