A senior U.S anti-human trafficking official to visit Cambodia

The director of the Investigation and Anti-Human Trafficking Office of the U.S State Department will make a 4 day official visit to Cambodia to hold talks with Cambodian officials about the issues of human trafficking.
Mr. John Johnson (pictured), spokesman for the U.S embassy in Phnom Penh, said the visiting official will be accompanied by Ambassador Carol Rodley to meet with Deputy PM and Minister of Interior Sar Kheng, Minister of Justice Ang Vong Vattana and Minister of Social Affairs Ith Sam Heng as well as anti-human trafficking officials from various departments.
Mr. Johnson said the aims of the meetings are to exchange the ideas that can lead to the prosecutions of human traffickers.
According to a U.S embassy's statement issued on 17th June 2009, Cambodia was ranked 2nd on the 2009 U.S report on human trafficking as the most highly risked nation in term of human trafficking.
