Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen on Wednesday launched the national policy of land distribution for retired army forces to improve their living conditions and in purpose of transforming unused land into productive land.
"After our army force retired from positions, they become poor and vulnerable people in society. Therefore the government needs to launch the national policy for land distribution for our retired army forces that devoted their life to protect and serve the country," Hun Sen said at the launching ceremony at Chaktomuk theater hall in Phnom Penh.
"Moreover, it is for gratitude for our armed forces and protect their dignity and improve their living conditions," he said, adding that it could also transform our unused land into productive land like planting agricultural crops.
