The Navy chief insisted the country's maritime relations with Cambodia remain unchanged and the situation has not so deteriorated as to warrant a border closure.
Navy Commander-in-Chief Admiral Kamthorn Phumhiran denied comment on Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen's latest statement that he and Cambodian people are not pleased with Thai Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva and Foreign Minister Kasit Piromya.
Admiral Kamthorn insisted that the country's maritime relations with Cambodia remain intact.
He said the Thai representatives who took part in the meeting of the Thai-Cambodian Joint Border Committee vowed to use a peaceful approach to settle any difference and repeated that there is no need to close the Thai-Cambodian border since the situation between the two countries has improved.
