Help Centre, Hotline set up to assist tourists during Red Shirt protests

BANGKOK, March 12 (TNA) – A help centre for tourists and a 24-hour Call Centre, Tel. No. 1672, have been set up for the duration of the anti-government Red Shirt demonstrations on March 12-23, according to Thailand's Tourism and Sports Ministry.
Tourism and Sports Minister Chumpol Silpaarcha told a press conference that the help centre for tourists is now open on the 17th floor of the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) headquarters Bangkok’s New Petchburi Road.
The minister said the centre will receive information on emergency situations involving violence or other disruptions and coordinating with further assistance for tourists.
