During PM Hun Xen’s second visit to the western border, there was no war of words with Thailand, unlike his first visit. During this trip, Hun Xen maintained the same stance but he is also indicated his willingness to negotiate with Thailand as he did earlier.
Hun Xen publicly declared that the preparation made Cambodia along the border was not done for war sake, but only to confront any foreign aggression.
Hun Xen indicated during his visit trip to troops and his inauguration of a number of achievements in Ratanak Mondul district, Battambang province, that any forms of aggression are unacceptable. Hun Xen sternly warned that Cambodia will not even invade any other country by one millimeter, nor will it allow any country to invade Cambodia by one millimeter.
Next, he struck a conciliatory tone, indicating that if there is any negotiation possible, no matter how big or small it is, he would not drop it. The best resolution, according to Hun Xen, would be a common understanding with talk and mutual cooperation.
