BANGKOK, July 4 – Cambodian police detain two Thai nationals, suspected of involvement in the bombing outside the Bhumjaithai party headquarters last month.
Thai police in Thailand’s eastern province of Sa Kaeo were notified by the Thai consulate in Phnom Penh that Cambodian police arrested the duo, Warisriya Boonsom and Korbchai Boonplod, in Siem Reap. They fled to Cambodia on June 23, said Captain Charn Wongwaimethee, Commander of an army unit in the eastern region.
They are suspects in the hiring of persons to carry out athe bombing plot near Bhumjaithai party headquarters in Bangkok.
Cambodian authorities will hand over the two to the Thai embassy in Phnom Penh on Monday.
