HRP headquarter, Human Rights Party president Kem Sokha met one hour with UN’s special envoy Surya Subedi on Feb 22, 2011.
During the meeting, he told the UN special rapporteur that he supported the mission in Cambodia to reform judiciary and legislative system. “However, it is not workable if Cambodian leader has no commitment,” Kem Sokha said to Subedi, “Because of non-commitment, Cambodian government always makes promise with the donor and international community to reform.”
Kem Sokha said, “Therefore, the donor and international community need to focus on free and fair election so that Cambodia has a good leader who has real commitment to do this issue.”
