Prime Minister Hun Sen (pictured) warned "a certain woman" not to act as a representative of all women, in a speech seen by observers as directed at Mu Sochua who was found guilty of defaming him on 4th August.
Mu Sochua had immediately lodged an appeal by saying that she will fight until she gets justice, not just for her but for all Khmer people, especially for women.
Speaking during a graduation ceremony and the inauguration ceremony of the University of Laws and Economics on the morning of 12th August, Mr. Hun Sen has strongly said he will never back down regarding his defamation suit against Mrs. Mu Sochua. He said he will entertain this case to the bitter end, be it through legal, political or military means.
Th PM had also warned many NGOs, whom he accused of being biased toward the oppositions, not to meddle in the affairs of Cambodia. He added it would be better if they leave Cambodia for good because Cambodia is a fully functional society already.
Mr. Hun Sen also used the speech to remind his detractors that he will be the prime ministerial candidate in the 2013, 2018 and 2023 elections. He added that by then, the oppositions will reach their use-by date.
