Supporters of nationalistic "yellow-shirts" planned to stage a rally near the Thai-Cambodian border to demand the release of seven Thais being detained for illegal entry into the neighboring country.
Chaiwat Sinsuwong, core leader of Thailand Patriot Network, told reporters on Sunday that members of his group and other yellow-shirt supporters planned to rally in the eastern province of Sa Kaeo on Tuesday to demand the release of the seven Thais.
Panich Vikitsreth, a Bangkok MP of Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva's Democrat Party, and other six Thais, were arrested by Cambodian soldiers while visiting disputed border area last Wednesday.
Veera Somkwamkid, another leader of the Thailand Patriot Network, is also among the detainees.
